Currently WPEBackend and WPEBackend-mesa live under the WebPlatformForEmbedded namespace on GitHub. For a variety of reasons, I don't think these repositories are a desirable dependency for upstream WPE. We should find a better home for them. We have several options that we should continue to discuss (elsewhere).
