I'd expect this to be fixed as part of bug 254562, but since symptoms are technically different, so we can track these separately for now. WebKit is not responsible for getting notifications permission set up. The WebKit client does that. We're tracking internally through the radar; There's nothing for WebKit to do here. |
Created attachment 465758 [details] A screen capture of the web app notifications screen without the expected "Sounds" toggle. In iOS 16.4, web apps that have been added to the home screen appear in Settings>Notifications, but there is no "Sounds" toggle to turn on and off notification sounds for web push notifications for the web app. (Notifications appear to be permanently silent.)
