After updating WebKitGTK 2.38.5 to 2.40.1 in Debian bullseye Evolution no longer displays the email body correctly.

The area where the body should appear is now very thin, cannot be resized and one can barely see the contents.

This upstream Evolution bug might be related although the behavior seen on the screenshot is different from the one I see (I'm attaching my own screenshot): https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/2204

Presumably caused by bug #242883?

I don't think there's anything to do here because you're missing the Evolution patches to handle removal of frame flattening.
