Embedded device with a small display running Debian 11.1, running luakit as browser

Via Debian Security Repo we updated  libwebkit2gtk and libjavascriptcoregtk  from 2.38.5 to 2.40.1 and since then all web pages are blank.

Maybe this issue is caused by the bugfix of bug 238244 ?

Issuing 

> xinit /bin/luakit --uri=webkit://gpu --nounique -- /usr/bin/Xorg :0 -nocursor -br -pn -s 0 

yields the hardware information as attached.

A workaround for this issue is switching off hardware accelleration by issuing

> Environment="WEBKIT_DISABLE_COMPOSITING_MODE=1"

when starting the browser service

That workaround didn't last long, because die issue resurfaced with an update to > libwebkit2gtk-4.0-37_2.40.5-1
