To reproduce:

1. Load the Vulkan spec in Safari: https://registry.khronos.org/vulkan/specs/1.3-extensions/html/vkspec.html
2. Once it's finished loading, try to select some text
3. Do the same in Firefox

Expected result:
Selecting text doesn't lag

Actual result:
Firefox works fine, but in Safari, the highlight updates at a few fps
