I'm not sure when exactly this regressed, but nowadays we have some pretty severe lag when editing any document on Google Docs.

This bug affects typing on Google Chat as well.

And this bug also affects commenting on large GitLab merge request diff pages, like:

https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/epiphany/-/merge_requests/1053/diffs

I'm almost certain it's the same issue.

Simpler reproducer that doesn't require any login: visit https://app.rallly.co/new and try to type in any of the text fields. There is extreme input lag equivalent to what I see on Google Docs and Google Chat.

I tried this site and it works just fine, no lag.

I see the same today: the problem is completely gone. Weird.
