Video (Issue on MDN)

Hi Team,

While testing another bug 264690, I noticed an issue where the 'text' frequently flash (like it is repainting) and it does not happen till you scroll.

URL: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/input/color#result

^ Happens in Safari 17.1 and in Private Window.

Steps to reproduce:

1) Open URL in Private Window
2) Nothing happens when you don't scroll but only when you scroll, it starts happening

^ Attaching video of Safari 17.1. Happens in Safari Technology Preview 182 as well.

As for why "audio" element, I mentioned (it could be separate issue but seems like same) and it was happening for this: bug 171659

Just wanted to raise it separate so it can be tracked better.

Since I noticed, it happening with 'scroll' and 'iframe' both, I will add few more engineers then I usually do, so please don't mind.

Thanks!

One bit to add:

'color' input (MDN) issue is kind of resolved on WebKit ToT but you still get 'splash' after scroll on text but 'audio' issue is still present of bug 171659. So might be two different issue.

Looks a hit like the whole iframe is reloading. Does web inspector show anything?

Console - Web Inspector - Private Window - STP182

I get this in console log - NOTE: I have two Safari Extensions enabled but it reproduces without them enabled as well.
