Created attachment 477132 [details] Demonstration video with typing sound With MiniBrowser or Epiphany: 1. Load https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/epiphany/-/issues and make sure you are logged in 2. Click the "New item" button in the top-right (or any other way to start filing a new issue) 3. In the overlaid issue reporting form, try to type fast in the Description textfield I have noticed that WebKitGTK 2.50.0 (whether MiniBrowser, Epiphany 48.x from Fedora 42, or Epiphany Technology Preview) is sluggish in this scenario compared to Firefox or Chromium, particularly on my desktop computer with AMD graphics (it is slightly less noticeable on my Intel Kabylake laptop). See attached demonstration video, with sound activated. This does not happen on simple textfields like https://bugs.webkit.org/enter_bug.cgi but it happens on GitLab's bug reporting textfield. --- Tested on Fedora 42's Wayland GNOME 48.5 session, mainly with: * WebKitGTK 2.50.0 * GTK 4.18.6 * Libadwaita 1.7.7 * mesa 25.1.9
